Candlewords

Condolence messages for when words are hard to find.

Visit Candlewords $4.90, one-time

Tell Candlewords who you are writing to and how you knew the person who died. You get four texts for the same loss: for a card, a text message, a letter or work email, and a note for later.

Candlewords asks a few gentle questions: who died, how you are related to them or to their family, and anything you would like to mention. Names and details are optional.

From your answers it writes four texts that each stand on their own: 40 to 80 words for a sympathy card, a few lines for SMS or WhatsApp that ask for no reply, a fuller letter or a kind email to a colleague, manager or client, and a short note to send two to four weeks later, when most messages have stopped.

You can read the beginning before you pay. After one payment you can edit every text, ask for up to five rewrites, copy or send them, print the card text and add a calendar reminder for the later note. Your order page stays available for 60 days, and within 7 days you can ask for a full refund from that page.
